🔔Reminder: Deaths along routes to Europe are not an "accident". They are a direct consequence of European asylum and migration policies, which are increasingly focused on deterrence and border control rather than providing protection to those in need.
Almost 10 years ago, over 1000 women, men and children went missing after their boat capsized between Libya and Lampedusa.

👉 Since that tragedy, the loss of life along routes to Europe has not ceased. Deaths have continued year after year, with some periods seeing even higher numbers of fatalities.
