Our project “Empowering Young Students with Python, AI, and Analytics.” We visited schools in underserved neighborhoods and ran hands-on workshops on coding and basic AI concepts. We were able to bring a group of students to campus for a tour. Seeing what’s possible can be a powerful spark! (2/3)

Rec’d by one of my fav slu profs! Also highly recommend if you’re a podcast guru like me. I have listened to now three Ethan Kross segments on Rich Roll & Slight Change Of Plans. Not only interesting emotion research, but genuine novel regulation tools introduced as well.

When I first started working with resting state fMRI as a postdoc, there was a lot of skepticism about what we could learn from it. 20 years later, it's hard to imagine where the field of neuroscience would be without it. Here's a summary 🧠 www.nature.com/articles/s41...
The history and future of resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging - Nature
This Review provides an overview of the history of resting-state functional MRI research, which has helped to reveal the spatiotemporal organization of the brain, and discusses how it can contribute f...

Big update to scienceimpacts.org: See the devastating impact of cancelled NIH grants across the country, and how losses at specific institutions ripple out to surrounding communities.

This is all in addition to the future losses that would result from cutting funds for indirect costs of research.

One of the most emotional nights I’ve had in awhile—Severin Award night with the Dept. of Psychology at SLU.

Endless great things I could say about what an impact everyone at SLU has had on me, but not enough characters to post it here. Instead here’s a photo of my remarks! Feeling so blessed 🥹
