The wizard gets clapped by the monster in the very next room and bones their death saves.
Do you leave to get the wizard resurrected? Do you even try to heal up at that point?
NO. You stuff the wizards body into a Heward’s Handy Haversack and keep it pushing.

You don’t look for any hints to the obvious puzzles that I’m presenting.
After the wizard takes like 40-50 HP in damage from the trap you literally set off five times in a row, you don’t heal at all.
