And also be sure to get the Ralts + Gardevoirite from Mystery Gift and feed em some exp candies to evolve it to Gardevoir, that's a pokemon you will see often and for good reason; it's VERY good for knocking out people with Calm Mind + Psyshock or Moonblast while they are busy attacking each other

I mean I'm still Rank V in the story, you definitely do not have to be in post game. What I DO recommend is only participating when you get access to Mega Evolution (right after the main mission "Chase that Mysterious Pokemon!" you get access to it) otherwise you WILL fall behind in the matches

Got Greninjite relatively quickly, took me like 30 minutes? I liked ranked battles, they're fun (minus people disconnecting when noticing they're losing, that part remains unfun)

Just let people enjoy things. There's already so much crap going on, there's no need for the entire "don't support nasty corpo practices/no ethical consumption" hanging over one's head like a guillotine. Sometimes people just want to experience a nice thing, if it's not harming you leave it be

I get it, I really understand that right now Pokemon is not in a very good place with its fanbase. It's valid to express that opinion and talk about it, it's true we deserve better in a lot of ways
