Inside the extraordinary Llys Llywelyn medieval court, reconstructed from excavated C13th foundations nr Rhosyr on Ynys Môn/Anglesey at St Fagans National Museum of History.

An exceptional space in which to feast & to administer princely power over south-west Anglesey

Having been mistakenly included on an electoral roll, Manchester shopkeeper Lily Maxwell voted in a by-election on this day 1867, more than 50 years before (some) women were enfranchised by the Representation of the People Act. Suffragists seized on it as a test case.

Lovely slow TV show while Robbie navigates the canals of the UK. He also writes and plays the gentle backing music. If you haven't seen it, it's a delight! BBC4 and I-Player, I think. 🎵🎶🎵
