Mainly whisky.
Refreshingly frank, so I'm told.
Don't follow me if you are going to get political.
I don't care about your cat.

@thewhiskywire.bsky.social Cheers as always, Steve. Great dram, great upcoming distillery. Awesome value for money and way too easy to drink.

It's very quaffable and creamy with vanilla fudge, caramel latte, crème brûlée, pecan Danish, hazelnut cream, and a gingersnaps, cinnamon knots and cherry cake finish. Perfect for mince pies or in a Rusty Nail #TheBordersDistillery

#TheBordersDistillery Right As Rain Finish: short and spicy with a little stewed apple and berries.
An interesting dram, hints of red wine cask and a lovely grain make this perfectly drinkable even at 40% ABV.

Palate: Starts super sweet with a golden syrup vibe. This is followed by oak notes that are both floral and fruity. Finally, a gentle spice emerges that is toasty and nutty. #TheBordersDistillery

Palate: Sweet, far maltier than expected, a teeny bit of heat, soft white wine. Mouth hold encourages almond. Second sip, oh this is liquid cherry bakewell!!! Buttery, frangipani, cherry. Fecking delightful!
Finish a little short, but for 40% abv, that's fine.

The distillery’s hometown of Hawick has a famous history of manufacturing – it’s where cashmere is king and where tweed was invented. There is a spirit of invention and enterprise in the town that inspires everything they do. #TheBordersDistillery

Had the best time working at the English Whisky Festival. Probably the best so far. Lots of fun and wonderful drammers.

A rare pic of me and *the boss*, Rich Foster, creator of the event.
