I mean, some of these dudes spend most of their time in like Lubbock. They get some weekend time in Austin - get some killer tacos and small batch tequila and then maybe see a chicano ska band - all after a long day of crushing dissent.

When a democrat-led Congress successfully managed to get more funding for aids research despite the administration’s reluctance? Funding that public health officials and activists still didn’t think was enough? Touché I guess.

I mean, Mondale did advocate for increased spending on public health. In contrast to the guy who not only didn’t mention AIDS, but who also cut the CDC’s budget. Which is worse.

I’m of the opinion that even bad pizza is good because it’s still pizza. But I still would only eat Little Caesar’s under duress. I’m in a similar spot with coffee where I don’t need a $16K espresso machine but I also wouldn’t drink Folgers at gunpoint.

My understanding is that the tariffs alone have brought in $17 Trillion, so $1.5T shouldn’t really be an issue
