I am mildly obsessed with how Covid shows up in pop culture. This single panel from a larger comic by @xkcd.com is so evocative!

Even your older nature photos can help scientists today! As long as you know when and where you took the photos, you can post your nature sightings on iNaturalist anytime — and they'll still contribute to science and conservation. Got anything in your camera roll to share? 👀

Here's a different take on the koi drawing.

I have trouble controlling my lines sometimes because my hand shakes. It used to bother me a lot & I'd spend time trying to correct them, but nowadays, I'm like, to hell with it. It proves a flawed human drew this imperfect thing with human intent 🙂

make art! if it's the end of the world, you might as well make art! if it's not the end of the world, then the future will be better because people made art right now!

Ha! Just had another pest control sales person come to the door, pause before knocking when he saw my sign by the door and then laugh and throw his hand up while walking away.

propaganda we're not falling for:
- there's no nature in cities/urban areas
- we already know everything about plants & animals
- nature photography requires expensive camera equipment
- you need a degree to contribute to science
- you need to travel far to see interesting species
