Feels like there’s no good spooky content this October right?

WRONG. My book is about ghosts and demons and all kinda spooky nonsense. Order a copy now before I have to come up with a Thanksgiving themed pitch!

Yes! Major theme of the book, risking everything for the possibility of a bright future instead of just a livable one

"So instead, you would condemn every soul in
existence?"
"No-I would fight for every soul. I would
fight so that everyone, even SPOILER
could have a
chance for redemption."
"Have you heard nothing I said?" Ansiel shouted. He reached down and grabbed me by my collar, lifting me to his level. "We could lose!"
"We could win!" I argued, dangling in his grasp. "You've spent all your days in paradise and somehow, you lost hope for the future. So, how about you go to Hell, where hope is the only thing that gets you by."
My friends stared at me, bewildered. I felt
good. Terrified, but good. Grim Portents banner featuring a skeleton hand holding a feather and emerging from an open book. Ah the ol darkness, my old friend

I’ve been waiting till Black Friday to see if Last of Us II would go on sale so I can finally cross it off my backlog, and they JUST added it to PSN for free. Now they just need to add Astrobot and Baldur’s gate 3 and I’m golden
chrisakins.bsky.social
Well I’ll let you know when I finish my first draft, but I’ll be honest, that’s probably a ways off. Hoping to have it written come summer
chrisakins.bsky.social
For my first one, no, I had some volunteer editors help me with it. But seeing as it took me like 13 years and about 50 revised drafts, I may invest in one in the future haha
chrisakins.bsky.social
Yes! I published my first book this month in fact!

This one is not a YA Sci-Fi, it’s a part satire, part paranormal fantasy horror

Why does Bill need to pay a child 50 dollars for a super soaker?

Guess you’ll have to read the rest to find out: a.co/d/dT8M9S2

"Fifty."
"Fifty bucks?" I exclaimed in disbelief.
"Each."
"Look, kid. I don't have a hundred dollars. I
can give you, like—forty."
"Go ask someone else then."
"Who am I sup-Is this how your parents
raised you? To rip people off?"
"Maybe."
I held my tongue and pulled out my wallet. As
I suspected, I only had forty dollars left from the money in my cabin. I turned back to Maya. "Do you have any cash?"
Maya pulled out a wallet in the shape of some
yellow cartoon dog I didn't recognize. She fumbled around with it before pulling out thirty dollars. "This is all I have."
I took two fives and handed it to the kid with
my forty. "Here. I'll take one."
The kid snatched the money and tossed me
the soaker. He smiled and ran off with his friend.
"You're welcome!" I yelled out to them. "Little
brats."
Sonny snickered as I got back onto the road.
"What?" I asked.
"You're gonna be a great dad someday."
"Shut up, Sonny." Grim Portents cover featuring a skeleton hand holding a feather and emerging from an open book. The title is on a burning banner that envelops the feather and a large beast looms over it all. At the top, the tagline reads: Welcome to the first day of the end of your life…

The new book is YA Sci-Fi!

As diary would definitely be handy. I really just want to see if I can write an and edit a book in one year. It took me 13 years to finally publish my first book because of all my stopping and starting. I want to see if I can just buckle down and knock one out without compromising quality

Thought about setting a goal to write 500 words a day next year so I can finish my first draft around the summer. Ended up just writing 1000 words today. The mere thought of having a goal made me productive. Anyway, my second book is fully underway

Does Sonny ever get that reward he was promised? Guess you’ll have to read the rest to find out.

Which you can do! Right here: www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0FR...

"No need," Sonny said. "Our issue is resolved
and I'd like my reward now."
"I don't think you understand-"
"I understand perfectly. Half off my quota:
that was our deal, and you owe me."
"I owe no such thing. You haven't fulfilled
your end of the deal yet."
Sonny's eyes went bloodshot. "You want to
run that by me again?"
"I promised you payment for your service-yes, but unfortunately, further service is required."
"No, no, no, no, no. We have a contract. You
wrote it up yourself."
Haniel produced said contract from his desk
and slid it towards Sonny. "You're right. And if you take a look, it specifically states that you will receive your compensation upon the capture and/or termination of any and all escaped Hell-spawned entities, until such time as the crisis is ended. I can highlight the phrase 'and all', if you like."
Sonny scanned the document. The room became silent as he read it over to see if there was
any room for argument and I couldn't help replaying everything Sonny had told me about the angels in my head. Never trust anyone in the afterlife, especially the angels. Sonny had gone above and beyond for them, and despite my initial repulsions, I'd begun to think of him as my friend. Denying him on some sort of technicality seemed grossly unfair.
After a few minutes, Sonny whispered just loud enough for Haniel to hear. "You sneaky son of a bitch." Grim Portents cover featuring a skeleton hand holding a feather and emerging from an open book. "It's pretty clear that you've seen other spirits
in your house," I said. "What can you tell us about them?"
Widdick didn't answer immediately. He shuffled through the trash strewn room and peered between his boarded windows. He picked up one of the candles and carried it out of the room, beckoning Sonny and I to come along. We followed Widdick down a hallway, past the living room, and into a tiny, pitch black space. Once inside, he closed the door and turned on a battery powered lantern, allowing
me to see where he had led us.
"It's a bathroom," I observed.
Sonny looked around, irritated. "If you have
these lanterns, why do you even use all those candles? There's loose paper everywhere!"
"I don't want to waste the batteries," Widdick
replied. "I keep this one in here so I don't miss the toilet."
"Why did you bring us here?" I asked, trying
to get back on track. Widdick looked around again, as if someone else could be hiding in this cramped space with the three of us.
"I'm being watched," he spoke in a hushed
tone. Grim Portents cover featuring a skeleton hand holding a feather and emerging from an open book. The title is on a burning banner that envelops the feather and a large beast looms over it all. At the top, the tagline reads: Welcome to the first day of the end of your life…
