Agreed. I feel I'm not so versed in that side of media and erotica history and a lot of the knowledge I've obtained just have been arguments and comments online, when the whole history of erotica is pretty jumbled, so I do agree it should be looked closely through a magnifying glass.

I think I misinterpreted my words a bit here. I'm aware that both yaoi and the bara has their own diverse demograph. It just kinda sad how the whole yaoi/yuri thing has become more of a gag clout thing rather than the more serious crowds so I can see how that can be generalized wrongfully.
