The Conjuring 1 works cos the haunted family are the protagonists and the Warrens are the B-plot. In the sequels it's reversed, so you just spend the runtime goin, "Why am I watching a fuckin episode of Seventh Heaven when there's ghosts and demons across the street in what should be the main plot?"

Pretty solid movie overall, I definitely enjoyed it, but it's never good when the killer reveal makes you say, "who?" The other twist is solid though, so it still worked out overall.

Well, full for the digital Imax version that is. Still hoping we eventually get a release with the full movie in 1.43:1 like the 70mm showings, I'd gladly double-dip for it.

Finally breaking out that Sinners 4k tonight and I'm stoked to finally see the Imax scenes in their full aspect ratio. I saw it multiple times in theaters but was only able to catch standard showings :p
