the example of shrink-flation that pisses me off the most is this fucking bread slice shape. naturally, the bag obscures the cross-section of the loaf. who world want to eat anything made with two pieces of this shit? at what angle am i supposed to cut let alone eat this mushroom cloud sandwich?

one of the true regrets of my life is that i was born too late to have experienced Prince in his prime. musically, physically, aesthetically, his convictions and audacities; just an exceptional, revelatory individual. i miss him and i never even really knew him!

lately i'm feeling like this style of crouched calabash bowl is becoming my favorite to turn. this one jumped off the lathe 5 times before it was done, could've been noticably bigger, and has some cracks that go all the way through. still, it's lovely padauk, very solid, and it makes me happy.

i'm all for people working hard to reconcile things from their pasts, and just because the guy has suggestive tattoos doesn't mean he still embodies what they represent-- all it means is that he's an anterograde amnesiac who has to keep track of clues that will help him hunt down his wife's killer.

it only took me a year to remember to finish replacing this kitchen knife handle for my wife. it's bubinga. i've never peened pins so well before. pity the blade is so thin or else i'd've been able to make the whole works look brand new. it'll cut celery fine.
