A single addition to the white house will cost $300 million? That’s insane. We build entire new buildings for 10s of millions. What the hell would cost $300 million?

I am so pissed off. Trump didn’t win the Nobel prize for making pieces. He’s broken more stuff than almost anybody in history! *whispering in earpiece* Oh. Peace not Piece.

I quit drinking completely during the Bret Kavanaugh hearings after passing out several days in a row in the couch at 7pm. I realized that if alcohol was going to be my relief for the coming shitstorm, I’d be dead in a year. So I know exactly how long I’ve been sober.

I really really want a video game where I set up a shop near a dungeon entrance and sell potions to adventures. That’s it. I don’t want to “run the dungeon”. I want adventurers to come back or not based on how much I might have watered down the potions to maximize my profits.

I’m your only friend, I’m not your only friend, I’m your little glowing friend, but I’m not actually your friend, but I am. The best song about a nightlight.

I apparently need more friends. I keep casting these bluesky things into the void. Either that, or I’m just not that interesting. But I choose to believe it’s just cuz I need more friends.

This is why I started writing my novel obsessively:

Everyone is the villain in at least one other person’s personal story. But everyone is also probably the hero in someone else’s. The trick, I think, is to live life so the balance tips toward the heroic side.

Threads has become quite toxic. It’s probably because it feeds people straight from facebook which has also tumbled down the toxic rabbit-hole. right and left. Bluesky is so pleasant as a result. Here it’s all just gray depression documenting the end of the Great Experiment.

I’ve been writing and putting it up for people to read. And every single time a voice in my head says, “How dare you, sir. How dare you!” But it’s okay, because no one’s reading it anyhow.

The fact that Dagger Heart asks the GM to consider player experience before applying mechanics makes it a
Win for me. If a player debuffs a monster, let it take a tick of the bebuff at least before ending the effect. Let the player actions mean something before you boot the player into the next life

Some days it just feels lost. Everything is bad and nothing good is happening. The bad guys have completed their victory and there is no second act where the heroes rise, because most of the heroes were always the bad guys actually.

I’m so sorry, Gen Alpha, that mainstream marketing has found your lingo “ironic” and are now making ads in it. Additionally, I’m sorry that they are mostly attributing it to Gen Z.

Know how I know D&D is now super mainstream? I’m getting ads for bespoke dice in my feeds. $85 for a cool set of dice seems excessive. Dispeldice.com. Don’t get me wrong, if I had disposable income, I’d be up to my eyeballs in bespoke damage randomizers.

Our kids will never know what unfettered access to HBO after the parents went to bed. I’m sure I saw it when I was Robin’s age. He’d have to leave the room. I made the mistake thinking Vox Machina would be a fun romp and I think I made a new parenting low and some core memories for the kids.

Nothing says “nothing to see here” like canceling all activity in the house so that there won’t be a vote to release the files. My guess is that all the repubs that have been whining behind closed doors about being extorted by the White House see some sky.

Know when you look up reviews for a show or book and they are spilt between 1s and 10s. And reading into it some, you realize that the review totally depends on if the reader is in on the joke or not.

When I was in high school we played a Robotech campaign where we made mechs and fought lots of other robots, but also played the pilots using shadowrun rules. Does this game exist?

I saw a video today that the incarceration rate is falling fast. All those for profit prisons need a new revenue source. They found ICE.
