I don't know if My Morning Jacket are my favorite band - kinda like picking a favorite film - but they are a band I love and I'm very excited for three nights of MMJ in Chicago next weekend.

Listening to their discography (again) so I can be as ready as possible. One night is Z (+ other stuff)

I smoked cigarettes for a long time, and then I quit a few years back, been like five or so at this point (we're not gonna mention the juul era of 'just need a nic fix!')

So I'm good enough now that I can buy vacation cigarettes and then stop. And oh man am I excited about those vacation smokes.

He's kinda darting around the place, checking out the set, green room or whatever, and after the opener finishes and the emcee is about to introduce him, there's this quick moment where he's standing by our shitty view back table and i kinda freaked a bit. "Dude we love you", etc.

And then, comedy.

Sean Jordan (opener, crushed it), Charlie Stolz(comedy fan, did okay), Kyle Kinane (comedian, crushed it)

I didn't know what to do with my arm because it was at the level to go around Kinane's neck and shoulder because i am tall and it just hung there weird because I don't know him like that.

So, wife and I drove up to GR on Friday night to catch Kyle Kinane (kinda my favorite comedian at the moment) and because we grabbed some dinner, ended up with some not great seats at the show. Back of the room. Whatever

There's this dispensary here that will often do "Free $10 credit this weekend, Fri-Sun! No minimum!"

And so I go there all three days and basically spend as little as humanly possible to reup on things (carts, gummies)

Stretched a 10 all weekend and tipped a buck or so every time
