I never understood candy corn let alone the styrofoam circus peanuts. If portions were allocated mine can go to those that like them.
Sure. I usually write a blogpost and leave a review in StoryGraph. I can add a review there as well.
Added to TBR. With an awesome title like that plus space vampires and werewolves? My interest is caught. I probably would have learned of this if I actually opened one of the many emails Kobo sends me per day that I ignore so I’m thankful to @lilithsaintcrow.com for sharing your post. 😁
Oh to have a 3d printer. Btw, those pen trays look amazing!
Progress on the translation from knit to crochet so far. Decided the cuff ribbing and the initial stitch pattern for the gloves. Next is to decide if I want to add any shaping (tapering) of the arm which is not a feature of the knitted version. #crochet #patterndesign #looseendingsstudio
My #monday

Can’t complain when yarn is involved.
Getting to it this morning. Translating one of my patterns from knit to crochet. #studio #patterndesign #fiberart
It’s ok if all you make are squares and rectangles. If that’s what makes you happy then keep doing it.

And yes.

I actually do have a fingerless glove pattern but it’s knit. So I am going to take some time to translate it into crochet. Which is something I haven’t done in a very long time.
All because she went to an LYS with the name Threadbear (love the pun) where her daughter is attending school. My SIL enjoys crocheting more to keep her hands busy and said she tends to make a lot of squares and rectangles and that my other SIL teases her about it (and how tight her stitches are)
Sorta love the fact that my SIL reached out to ask for advice/suggestions about crochet patterns for fingerless gloves and wanted to check if I had any patterns for purchase that would fit what she needed. And we end up texting for over an hour about how to read pattern requirements and yarn labels.
Um … if it’s actually a thing… then today years old.
Gotta make sure you are inundated with the concept of rugged individualism. (Which never was and never worked if it did.)
It’s not a hard game to play. Don’t normalize Nazi iconography.
About last night. I had the most delightful time at my first Pelikan Hub.

Only a few hours before the 2025 Pelikan Hub - Dallas starts. I’m bringing a bunch of ink samples for folks to take if they want. Looking forward to meeting other #fountainpen folks and socializing a little while.
Subs are trickier to manage (just like ebooks actually).
Flytrap actually does let you purchase individual articles according to their thread. Granted I haven’t looked at how they do this but the option exists for them. Libraries used to get physical subscriptions and bind them. Typically they existed in the reference section. However digital 🧵
Also wtf… suddenly my phone case decides to fall apart for no discernible reason? I picked it up off the charger and suddenly the rim of the case separated from the back. It was perfectly fine last night. No. I didn’t drop it. If that were the reason it separated it would have done so a year ago.
I think Stella and Jack are going to be just fine. (Matt sent me this after I retired to the bedroom to spend some time with Harley who is making slow progress in accepting Stella)
