I'd rather have that than the various shades of grey that are popular now. Plus, you can cover them in interesting things.
Even better, some places are being 'AI staged' now. Brilliant.
Also, rather than one guy at the LSE addressing a point I didn't make, here's the HoC library supporting the point I *did* make.

Where did I suggest the top rate should be cut?

I didn't.

I pointed out taxes on average earners are relatively low in the UK, so the best way to raise extra money for services is a penny on income tax for everyone.

It raises way more than the fiddling around that's been done so far and is fair.
In the face of all evidence to the contrary.

Okay.

You won't be convinced by boring old facts and numbers clearly.
Empathy or not, rich people pay an outsize share of tax in the UK on an international comparison.

If you want Scandinavian services, their taxes are way higher on the average person.

People earning 100k-125k have a marginal effective 62% rate now. 53.5% of households take more than they pay in.
Which side of the campaign was business on, generally?

Remain.

Look at bank share prices post referendum. Brexit was not wanted or good for the City - we lost all market access overnight.

A small number of hedgies winning on one bet doesn't affect that.
Most countries have reduced their top rates since the 70s. The comparison is with peers *now* and there, as this shows, we're unusual in that taxes on median earners are relatively low.
Okay. What's the third option?

All people with DSDs are male or female, by the way. DSDs themselves are sex specific.
You've been had.

The answer to right wing lies isn't spreading left wing ones.

Toodles.
Wealthy people (as a cohort) did not want or vote for Brexit.
Please please please actually look at some numbers on this.

The UK tax system is unusual on a relative basis in that it taxes high earners more than peers and average earners less.

That is a fact. Not available for dispute.

The rich *are* taxed.

We need a broad based tax rise, not more fiddling.

But you're asking for a special deal there. Cherry picking, which is exactly what the EU will not do.

EEA membership is what we can realistically apply for.
Well I agree with that, but I think you've swallowed some misinformation about people profiting off Brexit.

Everyone's poorer as a result of it. Some hedgies and traders may have made a one off gain from ccy trades on the day (inc Farage himself maybe) but not a widespread thing.
And it absolutely will not be on the same terms we had. i.e. good luck getting the same rebate or opt out from the Euro.
I'm sure they've been awful to some people sometimes, but Octopus have always been good with us.
Eww.

Seriously though, I think that's genuinely helpful first time I've actually been jealous of a yacht.
What a great argument for everyone using the toilet that reflects their sex.
People with DSDs, many of whom don't like the term intersex, are still male or female.

There's no third sex.
