Solo parenting did not go well…
He got ready for bed quickly, read his school reader, we read a couple of chapters of Dogman…
Then 10 minutes after his door was closed, a nearly 2 hour long meltdown occurred
All because it was “too hard to fall asleep” 😩

Turning 40 hasn’t been bad so far. Feeling happy with my new haircut. Started reading a book from an author my Nan suggested (so far so good!). Started rebuilding the Friends Central Perk lego. Having a glass of wine for the start of my date night with the partner, going to see 7 Days Live later 😊

I do like a good patterned or with cute pictures sock. Although with coming into summer I only wear socks while at work, then its barefeet or sandals the rest of the time!

My FIL has been constantly sick this year. He currently has a cough that he just can’t shake.
I said to him yesterday that it’s probably covid that’s done it.
And it was like a lightbulb had gone off in his mind…
“True, covid probably has weakened my immune system”
He’s had covid 4 times

Do people just not know how deeply terrible covid is for their health, or do they intentionally keep themselves in the dark because knowing is too scary/draining/challenging for them to process and they don't want to change their behaviour and wear masks so they ignore it?
