As someone who spent 13 years homeless, this is a good list & I wanna expand on it:

-Rice & beans are cheap & can make many meals
-Preserved meats (hot dogs, kielbasa, spam) are extremely versatile
-Kids LOVE receiving canned soups like Campbell's or Chef Boyardee
-Ramen is cheap & wanted

As wobble has been pointing out there are alot of common things that arent given as much, though in all truth the best thing you can give is cash and time

Most food kitchens/pantries can get things at rates that we cannot in bulk

SURE WAS! I don't think it'll come up more than briefly, but in her 20s Naomi was actually homeless and a drifter for a while! It radicalized her. Lol
