When I was 13, my mom saw a pic I drew of some dudes in dress shirts. She asked why the buttons were on the left instead of the right. I drew that because, of course, all my button-down shirts had buttons on the left.

Then she told me that's a girl thing and dudes should have buttons on the right.

My goal with Chairman Jang is show he is deeply afraid and resentful of the burden that was put on him, which he is now putting on Gunwoo.

He is forced to face the question of "If breaking out of this cycle is so simple, what was the point of our suffering?"

And the question makes him so. angry.

Writing Chairman Jang always has me wondering if I'm making him too much of a caricature.

Too one-dimensional? An immature portrayal of an overbearing, strict parent? An antagonist who isn't afforded an empathetic portrayal?

Speaking of replacing electronics,

I might go for the Mac Mini as my next desktop. The current one I have is a gaming rig I put together myself roughly 6? 7? years ago, and it still works fantastic. I've clung to Windows PCs because I'm a PC gamer, but I have 0 time for videogames these days.

The only reason I'd consider getting a new phone is to replace this camera that can't decide what to focus on.

(Not enough of a reason to invest in a new phone, of course. Got this baby at the beginning of the Pandemic, and it's still going strong)
