A helicopter (????) was kind enough to fly over my house at 6 am and scare my rabbits bad enough I had to go into gentle parent mode immediately.

(Photo shared is not from the actual event, just how I feel after struggling to fall back asleep)

Just started the audiobook for this and I'm definitely planning on getting a physical copy to annotate!
In bookstores today! It's "We Will Rise Again," a book of hard-won hope in this dark season. I co-edited it with the wondrous @older.bsky.social and @drkarenlord.bsky.social -- it's an anthology of speculative stories and essays about protest and resistance! www.simonandschuster.com/books/We-Wil...

It was very bold of me to assume I would be able to get my physical TBR to be any smaller

Happy Disability Pride month, y'all.

If you're disabled, share your links (arts, crafts, books, zines, ko-fi, mutual aid, what have you) so we can share it!

Non-disabled folks, like, share, & buy/donate! Let's uplift some voices and help some folks!

Never going to stop shouting about this. You need to buy trans books now. Especially in hardcopy or DRM free formats.

Don't say "it'll never happen." Look around. It's already happening.
On that note:

Trans authors (I mean authors who are trans, NOT cis people who write about trans people), drop your book links here and I'll try to repost as many as I can throughout the day.

Cis people: Repost trans authors' book links.

Cis people who want to complain about being excluded: gtfo
Being a trans author is fucking weird right now. Hell is actively unfolding all around us but I still need to be like, "hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book? It won't make anything better, but it's kinda fun?"

So....hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book?

The beginning of this year I set out to read more of my physical TBR AAAND I haven't been great about it. Maybe joining a reading challenge like #hrcyed will get me motivated again
