Agree! We used to be a real sport

Might make some weird shitpost images and post them randomly and see what happens

I feel like they don't push out the boat enough year to year. They could properly have some stylistic fun

Who else is staying up and throwing a party for the big FIA election? Can't wait to sit back and watch the results come in and see what happens.

The FIA president election rules are so weird and probably should be laughed out of the building?

Sports in general - It's amazing how the Male 18-34 demo is the one TV exes chase like a golden carrot and yet make no effort to truly get what makes them tick.

Football's Super League expansion attempt tried a 60-minute game argument as a barter to fans and it fell on its arse.

Been thinking on F1 and I think their issue is they don't respect the younger audience or make any time to understand them
chainbear.bsky.social
And streams and those mad video essays
chainbear.bsky.social
But there WAS stuff happening in track and we missed loads of it
chainbear.bsky.social
Just trust that young people aren't fucking idiots and will watch way more than 100 minutes if you just engage them and respect them.
chainbear.bsky.social
And loads of people watch the 5 minute highlights cause they want to refresh what happened.

Also your product is super expensive.
chainbear.bsky.social
If you want people to watch the race just make sure you're showing the fun on track stuff as it happens. You've got like a whole team and 200 cameras.
chainbear.bsky.social
And then during actual full race broadcast they are constantly pointing the camera at family, partners and celebrities instead of the on track action
chainbear.bsky.social
The response to the changing landscape of media consumption resulted in the saying "young people can't watch sport for 100 mins". Nonsense.

The wildest part about Porsche leaving, comitting to a renewed focus on... Formula E.

Guys - Formula E barely focuses on Formula E!
chainbear.bsky.social
If the TV managed to show any other thing happening on track they probably would have forgotten about it

Seeing quite a few people still getting full throated about turn 3 at Singapore and McLaren's apparent spiritual abandonment of Piastri and I honestly don't think it's a thing.
chainbear.bsky.social
Watched Alonso make up like 40 seconds on Hamilton by watching the track map
chainbear.bsky.social
Still thinking about how bad that TV direction was lol

Honestly I hate all the paywalling and carving off everything generally so, yeah
