A top ten Canada should really not be on.

#37 in population
#8 in historical emissions
America is responsible for the largest volume of carbon dioxide currently sitting in the atmosphere, trapping heat and causing disasters and death

How many ways can @mark-carney.bsky.social let Canadians know that dealing with the climate crisis is not high on his priority list?

Smart & honest people know full well that ignoring problems do not make them go away.

It's just bad leadership.
The votes on the federal budget forced ministers to leave critical international climate negotiations a week early, right as negotiations are going down to the wire.

Canada is missing in action at COP30 and now is less able to even participate. An all around pathetic summit for Carney's gov.
Federal budget scramble leaves Canadian negotiators rudderless at UN climate summit
The federal budget made it through confidence votes unscathed at the cost of Canada sacrificing its ministerial presence at international climate negotiations in Brazil.

Straight up lies... BIG LIES.

"Fossil-fuel firms receive US subsidies worth $31bn each year, study finds" - THE GUARDIAN Sept. 9th, 2025

$31 billion in subsidies = pretty fucking meaningful

KERNEN: Does the admin want to dismantle wind projects that are getting started?

WRIGHT: The track record is bad. We've spent hundreds of billions of subsidies for an energy source that's sometimes there. The main goal is to stop subsidizing. There are no meaningful subsidies for fossil fuels

🚨RED ALERT🚨
Tanker ban exemption?! This is truly unacceptable.

How can you possibly "make a deal" about expanding infrastructure for one of the world's dirtiest source of oil?

The climate does not negotiate, it's plain physics.

If you can afford a pricey car, you can afford an electric car!

At the very least BC needs to keep the EV mandate for cars over $80k.

@davidebybc.bsky.social @adriandix.bsky.social

Affordability is critical and we need climate policies that consider this.

So... Has Saudi Arabia's government changed its values to include human rights or has "western values" conveniently dropped those?

I think we know the answer.
Rep. Moolenaar on Trump selling F-35s to Saudi Arabia: "I believe the president is bringing different countries into the coalition that would be more aligned with Western values and with respect for national security. I trust his team."

my most woke opinion is that any truck/SUV over 4,000 pounds should require a commercial drivers license, increased insurance/registration, more expensive parking, and higher punishments for traffic violations
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.
