Coffee has several important impacts on the heart, says Edo Paz, M.D., a cardiologist in NY. “The caffeine in coffee can lead to increased heart rate and blood pressure, and can also lead to dehydration,” cautioning that as long as you’re consuming it in moderation, you shouldn’t have any problems.

A 2017 University of Southern California study found that coffee drinkers were 26 percent less likely to develop colorectal cancer than non-coffee drinkers. And those who drank more than 2.5 servings a day were 54 percent less likely to get the cancer.
