There are no press releases during the shutdown, making it difficult to find this kind of news.
But the AK Air/Army National Guards, and the USCG, are conducting SAR operations. The flooding is in remote areas, and affecting primarily small villages, it appears.

There has never been a better opportunity for Democrats to come out pro-military. The military has skewed republican for a long time, but Trump and Hegseth just shook military leadership, and many soldiers, HARD. Now is the time to let them know that Democrats care for them

This isn't what the military is for, as much as they're trying to convince us otherwise. It has never been what the military is for.

It's easy for the continuous onslaught of insanity to begin to feel normal, but we can't let it. None of this is okay.
We cannot allow ourselves to become numb to the brazen attacks on American freedoms, and now on *Americans* by the President and by the US military. They aren’t even trying to conceal it anymore

I’ve been screaming this at the top of my longs. We cannot normalize any of this.

“The ones that are run by the radical-left Democrats — what they’ve done to [SF], Chicago, [NY], [LA] — they’re very unsafe places, and we’re going to straighten them out one by one. And this is going to be a major part for some of the people in this room. That’s a war, too. It’s a war from within.”

NEW: No, Charlie Kirk was not practicing politics the right way. That's what Ezra Klein said. We can condemn this heinous assassination but also recognize that with his 2020 election denialism and extremist rhetoric, Kirk built his movement with falsehoods and in a wrong and divisive manner.
No, Charlie Kirk was not practicing politics the right way
His assassination deserves full condemnation; his full impact should not be sidestepped.

I held nothing but disdain for Charlie Kirk and disagreed with him on nearly every point I heard from him, but VIOLENCE IS NOT THE SOLUTION. I whole-heartedly condemn the person who shot him
After an EO aiming to protect Christians (America’s majority religion) from discrimination, now OPM sends a memo governmentwide officially allowing federal employees to try to convert other fed employees at the worksite.

We should always look for ways to be more efficient & effective in what we do. There is SOME unethical stuff that should be found, but that is very much in the minority. The chaos & dysfunction DOGE has caused across government FAR outweighs any benefits they are finding www.npr.org/2025/06/02/n...
Former DOGE engineer says federal waste and fraud were 'relatively nonexistent'

Wild how the Fed chair saying that *entire regions of the United States* won’t be able to get a mortgage in the next decade barely registered as a news event
I’ve been quieter for a while, and haven’t seen the latest round of skepticism. I will say that I’ve personally met & become great friends with some of the other OG AltGov. (And yes, the ones I know are gov). I won’t pretend to know all accounts today, but I trust @altspaceforce.altgov.info to vouch

One of my friends privately shared a pic of her and her kid at a #NoKings rally wearing @roguenasa.altgov.info shirts. My wife and I thought of wearing our AltScalesOfJustice shirts, but decided on Pride Ally shirts instead. Curious… any of you go out today sporting #AltGov wear?
This is sincerely a post from the official Department of Defense Twitter account, and it has been up for over 4 hours without being taken down or corrected. The gold stars in the middle are surrounded by two RUSSIAN FLAGS

They've been trying to numb us for a long time.

Fascism. Oppression. Genocide. All on display.

They want us desensitized, to think it's just the way the world works when deep down we know it is unnatural.

Don't let them take away the feeling from you.
It's uncomfortable because you're human.

Gosh. That seems like Stephen Miller, who has NO immunity is threatening federal judges.

If you see it you should call the FBI.

What other reason could one have to publish faces? They are not elected.

The thing about the traditional golden rule is that different people like and want different things, so sometimes what one person would want would be unwelcome to another person. So perhaps a better variant would be “Do unto others as they would have done unto them”
