Hi, it’s #kidlitartpostcard day! I’m an illustrator from Olympia, WA working in both digital and traditional media, incorporating handmade textures into my art. I’m currently working on a graphic memoir about growing up in the 80’s. I love to quilt and embroider, too!

The amazing thing about brave people speaking out is that it inspires others to do the same by creating a permission structure. Since I published this article 4 hours ago, I've heard from multiple sources confirming what's in it. www.muellershewrote.com/p/the-epstei...

Earlier today ICE agents hit someone with a car and tear gassed a neighborhood, sparking several fires and disrupting businesses.

Immigrants, by contrast, did not.
ICE is a much greater threat to this country than illegal immigrants. The current administration ia by far the greatest threat this country faces. The problem is not st our borders. It is in the White House.
We still plan to protest and march for LGBTQ+ rights and stand up to the Trump admin. We will be more aware of our safety next time—and expect things to get more intense on the streets. Seeing the joyful protest for TDOV across the country is really inspiring and I know love will win.
During the march we were screamed at multiple times, flipped off, and an impatient driver swerved into the marchers and narrowly missed hitting people. The vitriol towards the Trans community is being flamed by Trump and people are eagerly joining in.
My trans teen and I went to a TDOV march in our sanctuary city yesterday. It started off so sweet with people giving out flowers and chocolate covered strawberries. We’ve been going to protests since they were a baby, but this was the first time we felt unsafe at one. (Cont. below)
Not sure how to proceed when the future feels so dark. I keep going though.

I'm Brooke and I'm an author illustrator seeking representation. I'd love to work on picture books and board books. I primarily work in collage and cut paper ✂️ I also experimented with homemade stamps for this one! #kidlit #kidlitart

Please look up the influenza epidemic of 1918-19 to understand that the CDC not selecting strains for next year’s vaccines sets the stage for a public health calamity that will, without doubt and at bare minimum, catastrophically and directly impact people you know. This is a five alarm fire.

Taps old post
Measles can cause immune amnesia so catching measles might mean that you would have to get every vaccine you've ever gotten over again and every cold, flu and infection your body has already learned to fight off it would forget. Except for measles itself.
Because I will always repeat this when we see measles circulating again: if you were born 1957-1972 and did attend college or 1957-1987 and didn't attend college, you should get your MMR immunity tested with a simple lab test or one adult dose of MMR booster if your insurance won't cover labwork.

It's never good when the richest person in the world and the worst person in the world are the same person.
I don’t want to hate anyone, I know it’s not good for my soul, but the level of hate I feel for both of them could power a city.

Even if services at the park are limited, visiting places like Port Townsend, ocean beaches, and Lake Quinalt can make for a fun trip.

A Delta flight carrying ~80 passengers from Minnesota appears to have crash landed at Toronto Pearson Airport. No casualties reported as of this time. Numerous photos and videos have been released showing passengers safely exiting the plane, which flipped upside down. At least 8 people injured.
Happy Valentine’s Day to all the fierce parents loving their kids unconditionally!
