As a psychotherapist, imo when people label others who have hope or take action amidst fascism (in this case) as cringe, and/or think they're too cool to do the same, it's a transparent defense against vulnerability.

(Btw, the Pollyanna/in denial folks are also defending against vulnerability.)

Heads up to anyone going to the ICE facility in Portland now. I've seen from a couple of sources that it may be getting a bit dicey. So, if you go there, do not take the bait. They SOOOO want to have footage to show of confrontation since they didn't get any from all the peaceful protests today.
