Making a thread to contain my old Skyrim art. I basically never posted any of this stuff. Prob re-post my previous Falmer stuff in here eventually to have it all in one place. #gamedev #3dart #portfolio
Here’s the whole iron weapon set, based on concepts by the great Adam Adamowicz.
I think I am extra-obsessed with making gross-out art right now as my only other creative outlet I’ve found time for during this paternity leave is the total opposite. Making cute animal meals to get my toddler to eat food.

An easy way to explain luddites:

Textile manufacturers brought in machines that could do in an hour what would have taken 12 hours by hand.

And then, tried to keep paying the now 12x more productive workers the same wages as before.

That's it, that was the problem luddites had. Not complex.

We, the workers at Bethesda Games Studios, express our solidarity and support for the developers at Rockstar Games. Last month’s firings in the UK and Canada were a clear and disgusting case of union busting.

"why are games so expensive"
"why are mass layoffs happening"
"why are games getting cancelled"
"why did that popular studio close"

it's capitalism. capitalism is why all of this is happening. the rampant prioritizing of profit over the all else, from price and quality to dev health and well being.
SCOOP: For the last two years, Microsoft has pushed Xbox to hit profit margins of 30%, an ambitious target that's far higher than the industry average.

This chase for profit has led Xbox to raise prices, cut thousands of jobs, and rethink everything.
