I think the most important post-Trump reform will be insulating Justice from the rest of the Executive. A completely independent 4th branch would need a constitutional amendment... But there is a lot Congress can do within the existing framework.

If tariffs are really bad tax policy (and the balance of evidence strongly suggests they are) then why do nations not say "You know what? We are going to set our tariffs at zero. We think others should do the same, but you be you. We get the benefits of zero tariffs, you get what you choose."

"De Minimis" is not just fast fashion and cheap trinkets. It's repair parts for appliances, engines, electronics, tools, all kinds of essential things that can be renewed instead of tossed. Now things will break and they won't get fixed.
