Two people can't flip an upside-down boat that size. Ordinarily your best survival strategy in open water is to stick with the capsized hull if it is not sinking. From the air, survivors would be seen clambering aboard the hull and securing themselves with any lines available. (100 ton master here)

It's still practiced by the more conservative Anabaptist sects. It's called the Salutation. Generally it's reserved for those of identical communion, so for instance an Amish man would not give the Salutation to an Old German Baptist man. (My family belongs to the latter sect).

Probably confusing it with Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, which he has certainly seen as a Florida Man. IIRC in the 1930s it had the highest sales per sq ft of any retail location in the US so it was a bit of a miracle back then.

Another anecdote, I see lots of TEMU ads in a low-brow game I play, they have obviously found ways around it. But direct-from-China shipments of oddball repair parts from small suppliers that I used to buy have simply stopped.

Some of this has a "POW forced to read confession" vibe. As if the staff in these departments were given instructions from higher up, so they decided to craft a cry for help by making it sound as whack as possible.

It's missing the bar for radio... which would certainly be lower than the others. But still enough to produce the chart for RCA stock that we've all seen.

My online ad feed is probably lower class than most folks here... recently I have been getting a LOT of TEMU and similar cheap import ads, at loss leader prices. These companies have figured out ways around the tariff walls and/or they are powering through as if they are temporary.
