We said goodbye to our boy just now, with unbelievably his favorite song playing on the radio — a Max Richter piece.

He was a victim of aggressive feline cancer, and had been with us for nearly 17 years, since they were 8 weeks old.

He had the best send off we could give him.
Enough. We need to end the monarchy, finally.

Rid ourselves of this anachronism from centuries past.
lol.

If I may, I might use your phrase again.
Bryan Andrews certainly has a way with words…
Yay…!
Some positive news for a change. Politico: "The morning-after pill will be available free of charge on the NHS [England] from today, which the NHS national clinical director for women’s health hailed as the 'biggest change to sexual health services since the 1960s.'"

Given the party's refusal to act on Pochin's brazen racism, it should be as socially unacceptable to vote for Reform as it was in the early 2000s to vote for the BNP.

And we should be prepared to say this to people's faces.
She’s still a racist cunt.
You got way too many ads attempting to follow my online movements for me to tap on that link. Sorry.
This would be an antifa hero then, right?! Training to fight fascists.

Long may his memory last.
Mike Davis is a cunt.

“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

He should read Emma Lazarus’s poem, before spouting bile.
First of all, it’s not an “East Wing renovation project”, it’s the destruction of part of a landmarked national monument.

And one that happens to be the People’s House.
Me too. We had sanitised history classes.
He denies it, but Farage is a former member of the National Front.

Reform is just the latest incarnation of a century-old movement of British white supremacy. They've been called the British Union of Fascists, the National Front, the White Defence League and many other names in the past. But their hate-filled message of racism and bigotry is always the same.
The US has had localized strikes tho’:

Railroad strikes 1886 & 1922; Seattle 1918; Steel strike 1919; UMW 1946; Postal strike 1970, etc.
As much as it’d be nice to see, it’ll likely not happen in the US.

Historically, there hasn’t been any mass strike movement in the US. It isn’t Europe where mass movements resulted in general strikes.

Belgium 1898; Germany 1918; UK 1926; Spain 1934; France 1968; Italy 1968; Catalonia 2019.
Phew… I can smell that from all the way over here.
You’re right. When you see the percentages (I hadn’t before) it paints a different picture.
“Return to true Labour values”. Haven’t seen those since I first started voting in the 1970’s.

I’m saddened that Caerphiily had been solid Labour for 100 years. And worse, Reform fascist & bigot party came a close second.

Appalling result for the terminally inept Keir Starmer.
It’s a low bar when the US is compared favourably with China or Greece c. 1967-74.

I’ll tell you where we struggle with China: GDP, the economy, renewables. All of which are about to or have already overtaken the US.
Plaid Cymru: 15,961 votes Reform UK: 12,113 votes
Labour: 3,713 votes.

The constituency of Caerphilly in Wales had been solid Labour for 100 years.

100 years.

Think about that Starmer and all you apologists for Labour.
Tear them down, for fucks sake!

There was one in my town, one. It was tied to a lamp post overnight, I ripped it down the next morning, dumped it in the trash.
Yikes… another solid reason we left the US — other than trump’s fascist takeover.
