Same. I think the people who are "successful" are the ones who are chronically online. I don't have time for that xx

I don't have time to be online that much xx

I've never got traction here from it. Or from any other method of posting. Twitter was where I got all my work. If it wasnt for the nazi problem there, I'd go back in an instant. Ffs

Portfolio Day then... Does anyone actually get traction from that anymore?

We’re in a pleasant forest setting, with lots of greenery and the sun peeking through the canopy. We see tree houses made of natural materials on the trees.
A young, dark skinned elf is running madly towards the camera, laughing. He’s holding a chicken under one arm and a rope strung with strange berries in the other hand. A whole flock of chickens is following him, apparently crazy about the berries.
The chaotic scene is being watched by two shocked bystanders. A ladybug clad in an armor made of leaves and flower petals stands on a large white flower. They’re wielding magic wands, a spellbook and a shield made out of a seed husk. White war paint adorns their face and shield. They are casting fire spells against a horde of wasps. Evithorir, painted for Critical Role by Zoe Badini.

Evithorir is described as an elven figure perpetually shrouded in shadows. Its face is pale gray, its skin is pulled tight against bone. Its teeth are crooked and elongated and its eyes glow.

In this scene it stands in front of a large glowing green crystal pillar, surrounded by black and greenish flames. Its body flows and disappears into the shadows. Its hands are lifted at its sides, casting more dark shadows.
Hidden and trapped inside its chest we can glimpse a reddish emaciated figure. Scream, painted for the 2024 Upper Deck Fleer Ultra Matriarchs of Marvel set.
A monstrous, tentacled figure emerges from the mist. She has large milky eyes, a wide mouth full of sharp teeth and a long extended tongue.

#portfolioday is here again!
Hi everyone! I'm Sam, freelancer and illustrator on a variety of Warhammer tabletop roleplaying games. Here's a tiny slice of what I do:
Voll Adventures cover for Imperium Maledictum - a Vigilite interrogates a cultist at the site of a massacre, while our heroes prepare to intervene! An Ash Drake ambushes a rather overmatched Chaos warband. Aeldari factions combine forces against a horde of Orks in this cover illustration for Aeldari - Inheritance of Embers for Wrath & Glory. The Skaven Blistrox, with readied spear and braced shield!

People do like to hang on. Nothing is forever though. And seeing so many places implode shortly after joining, I have no problem now moving on. Socials are like pubs maybe, with a different vibe each time. I'd never frequent a nazi pub hence never going back to twitter.
candrahope.bsky.social
Definitely. I left pretty much under the same circumstances. Wall to wall bots and spam and no traction. And I think its the same for everyone not just small fry, so I don't get why people stay... Maybe we're selfish lol xx
candrahope.bsky.social
Definitely. Thats a good one you chose, and thanks! I may do one soon... ish 😁😊🤗

Artists who still uses Twitter, is it worth it? Is it worth the psychic damages you get over there?

This is a genuine question cause I can't see a single reason as to why anyone would ssubject themselves to that unless it still brings a few clients
candrahope.bsky.social
I remember everyone talking about how terrible twitter became and that they were leaving, and seeing quite a few of the same voices still talking about using twitter. I think a lot of people make a lot of noise but don't follow that through in their actions. Human nature and all that 🤗🤗
