I think I can hear this photo. ❤️ Majestic. I like when the falling water looks braided or crimped.

😄 Hopefully you’ll get some answers.

I'd like to be able to tell you something about this huge solo monolith on the beach at Lækjavik Nature Preserve but there's nothing about it in my #Iceland geology book and my google-fu failed to turn up any geologic information.

A huge lava monolith stands by itself on a black sand beach in eastern Iceland. The slopes of mostly bare lava mountains/hills are visible in the background. The waves are close to the monolith suggesting the it is surrounded by water when the tide is in.

Victoria Glacier, ‎⁨Banff National Park⁩, ⁨Alberta⁩, ⁨Canada⁩ #photography #B&W #Support_Public_Lands
Victoria Glacier is flowing between two rock faces. Lake Louise is at the end of the valley the glacier has carved.

Maybe once it gets consistently cooler you’ll start to see some changes. Fingers crossed you get something!

The lowest was just above (1 or 2ºC). I’ve been bringing plants inside every night now for the last week. And my lemon tree inside during the days it stays cold. Some frost on the ground too.

Ah, bummer. Hopefully you get some info with the MRI. Yeah, I’ve taken muscle relaxers and didn’t like the loopy feeling they gave me.
candissabean.bsky.social
Has it been getting cool at night?

Thanks!

How’s the arm feeling?

He’s a handsome boy, and was posing so nicely. I was checking the batteries on my big camera, so had it handy to snap the photo. I haven’t used it since our trip out east!

Ah, that’s too bad. Hopefully you’ll get some colour. I wasn’t sure we’d have any this year, as some trees fully lost all their leaves in the drought. But the ones that held on seem to be having a good showing. Though I’m finding the colours tending to more orange this year, vs both yellow and red.

It’s been a nice fall here despite the lack of rain. Just smells so nice in the woods. How is it looking there by your place?

I got a nice photo of Joey in the window seat this weekend with his collar off (after a thorough tick check, boo). Plus the ’alien’ flower is blooming again. 👽
A fawn-coloured med-large dog sits on a beige covered window-seat. The walls are green, and there are orange leaves down on the ground outside, with trees with a mix of green and orange leaves along with bare tree limbs. A paphiopedilum orchid sitting in a window with a bloom shoot growing, though the bud is still closed.

That doesn’t sound too bad, especially if you were able to do it all outside!

It was so beautiful yesterday, so we went out then. (I cooked the turkey dinner yesterday, so leftovers today.) I think tomorrow is going to be warm again, so that might be the last of the season. Here are some photos:
A person and a fawn-coloured dog wearing a red life jacket are on a paddle board left of frame looking into the photo at another person standing on a paddle board, paddling into the distance. The sky is blue with a few clouds, some of the far leaves have lost all of their leaves, some are still changing to orange. The photo is sort of blurry as it was taken through a protective waterproof case. A carpet of leaves on the ground — orange and brown and yellow maple leaves are covering the ground under the tree they fell from. There are still some leaves hanging on the trees around the woods, but it is thinning fast. The sun is shining top right corner of the frame. The tall deciduous trees along the big dam at the beaver pond have almost lost all their leaves. The bank/ground under the trees looks orange from the fallen leaves. The trees are reflecting in the still water of the pond. The sky and water are blue. The resident barred owl spotted sitting on a branch of one of the shorter trees in the woods that still has its green leaves intact.

😳 Oh no … 😂

How was the clean up? Did you have to get her in the shower? And how pond smelly was she?

Thank you! I am adding an extra thanks this year that Joey tolerates water but doesn’t like swimming or getting his fur wet. He’s had his moments but … 😄

Sets the light rays and clouds off so well, doesn’t it!
candissabean.bsky.social
lol, he does make it hard to say no to him.

Haha, very true. I was thinking back today of how happy he was when he got your socks. That was the moment you won his heart. And you’d only just arrived! He knew you were a kindred spirit. 😄

Thank you! I love the bear stuffy. 🤗

Happy Gotcha Day Flit! What a sweet pup. ❤️

Do you have a photo of her on the bed to see how much she’s grown since?

I love the framing. And the colour palette — that blue sky and hints of green and the grey in the rock. Very peaceful colours.

Looks amazing. What was it like hiking — was it windy? I love the flower, it’s so delicate especially next to all the rock.
