Beyond just the whistle initiatives (which are fantastic), OCAD Chicago and Beyond Legal Aid are helping families of the kidnapped/victims of detainment. If you want to make any donations, directing your dollars there would be incredibly valuable.

We threw a really nice surprise retirement party for my in-laws tonight and it filled my cup. They were so delighted to see their friends and family unexpectedly. It was really nice.

This is wild! I'd expect to be able to use the same card twice and have. Like it might charge you twice, sure, but my spouse and I have definitely traveled on the same card before???

This is a fair point. I struggle with the implications of the surveillance state alongside traffic scofflaws becoming the norm/cameras being seemingly the only thing that slows people down. My biggest enemy in this city is cars.

I am so, so tired of traffic violence everywhere I turn. This is on the north end of one of Chicago's largest parks! And it's a "protected" pedestrian crossing!

What am I supposed to do? How am I supposed to live? The cars have to be stopped.
