Always a little weird (but really cool) seeing myself pop up in something @lastexittonowhere.bsky.social posts. I think the pic in the lower right was taken about five minutes after I met @sgj.bsky.social (and Nancy) for the first time.

Yeah, I’ve definitely been spoiled by some of the smaller ones and Scares That Care and Dark Ink events. It just kinda sucks that I’ve been going to this one for almost 20 years now. But I’ll probably be going to Baltimore next week.

First thing was Hamish Linklater’s handler rushing us through and interrupting us what we were trying to talk to him. It was his first con and he seemed to genuinely want to talk to people, but they kept trying hurry us along (even though there only about 20 people behind us and 90 minutes left).

The eldest is taking an Indigenous Art class in college and I guess the discussion turned to horror. They said someone in the back of class asked “Has anyone heard of Stephen Graham Jones,” and I would have paid to have seen how my kid reacted.

I’m down in Hampton, VA. Partly to work on clearing stuff out of my dad’s house. He’s 83 and doesn’t spend much time there and is thinking of selling it.

I’ve played it twice now and liked it, though it hasn’t really stuck with me. I do appreciate the brevity. Though did she say “FIFTY Cent songs?”
