One of the best games of the past decade. Just keeps surprising you constantly. If you haven't played it already now you literally have no excuse it's on everything
You are a clone named Watcher, and you’ve made a grave mistake.

💠 Surface a 1,000-year-old lie from the cosmic shadows
💠 Discover the forbidden truths about your god
💠 Unravel a tapestry of familial pain, love and revolution

1000xRESIST is coming to PlayStation, Xbox, and Game Pass on November 4.
Demo's quite short, but the stuff it teases in the trailer at the end has big big big Spirited Away vibes
Genuinely astonished by the production value on OPUS Prism Peak. That studio has always made really nice looking games but they're firing on all cylinders for this one.
What NEXTfest has taught me this year is that I desperately need a better graphics card. Even some basic stuff is making my rig sound like a jet engine

Hey look, Israel broke the cease-fire, twice, in two different ways, within 24 hours - again.
NEW: Israel informed the UN it will permit only 300 aid trucks into Gaza daily, not the 600 mandated by the ceasefire it just signed.

Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and my bedroom door is wide open, and I know rationally that it's because I went to the toilet and didn't close it properly, but every time it happens I immediately think 'there's someone in my house'
I've just played the most incredible fucking demo (derogatory) and I can't wait to show you what it is
Genuinely surprised at how divisive that film is because I loved watching it as a kid. So gnarly and grim.

Decided to make a Steam Curator group for all the games I've covered on the channel so far, be it in videos like COOL GAMES, Best of Next Fest or standalone recommendations. Still a work in progress as there's plenty more to add.

NEW POST: In which I talk about the state of tv shows in the age of online, using examples from the extreme ends of the spectrum:
That live action Furi trailer was weird, right? I kind of love it.
Not everything has to look like a Spielberg movie

Had another milestone event happen this weekend: saw a damp patch on my kitchen ceiling and immediately thought 'ah man how much is that going to cost to fix?'

Three indie games, three different takes on a digital nightmare. While Proximate, Without a Dawn, and Dead Letter Dept. differ in their approaches, the takeaway is the same: our very perception of the world has been warped by systems outside our control. youtu.be/0zxQ9YAzy00
A reccomendation for S.P.L.I.T from me also, a grungy experience that's part visual novel and part hacking sim. Short, sharp, to the point and kind of darkly funny in places. Really enjoyed this one:

A short psychological horror game, where you attempt to gain root access into an unethical superstructure.

No I'm Not a Human is astonishingly good. A game built around very simple choice-driven mechanics evoking a whole spectrum of moral dilemmas that moves effortlessly between terrifying and heartbreaking. Definitely recommend you engage with this one, folks:

WARNING. Stay inside. Lock your doors. Close the blinds. Only let humans in. Eliminate all Visitors. An anxiety horror about paranoia in the End of Times.
