@chrislhayes.bsky.social At least twice on your show last night you referred to ICE involved traffic crashes as "accidents".
They weren't accidents. They were collisions. They were results of deliberate choices.
Don't give them the cover of pretending to be victims of random events.

Thinking about Bad Bunny's halftime show and with no disrespect to the child in the scene, I keep coming back to when he handed over his Grammy.
Does that Grammy award sort of resemble a Nobel Peace Prize medal, a shiny unearned trinket passed to a child?

"The Federal Government may neither issue directives requiring the States to address particular problems, nor command the States' officers, or those of their political subdivisions, to administer or enforce a federal regulatory program."
In Printz v. United States, #SCOTUS held that the Constitution bars the federal government from forcing or otherwise compelling local or state governments to enforce federal law.

The liberal squish who wrote the majority opinion in that case? Justice Antonin Scalia:

I saw that a former boss of mine died a couple of days ago. He demonstrated a mastery of "work-life balance" years ago. He left one morning for a doctor's appointment and for reasons never disclosed, when he got back he cleared out his desk and we never saw him again.

Five years ago, Donald Trump instigated a violent insurrection in the Capitol to prevent Congress from certifying Joe Biden the winner of the 2020 election. The fact that the GOP coddled him, protected him, renominated him, and now support him in office, is a stain that will never be erased.

An isolated shocking statement etched into my brain: "David Scheler's mother died."
That was in the first few days of second grade at a new school. I really didn't know David.
Today, in news some sixty years later, I saw David Scheler's death notice. I never really knew him. RIP David.

Some nasty winds last night as evidenced by the many and large tree bits that came down.
Had one crash where somebody's basketball hoop blew into the street and my wet brakes couldn't get me to a full stop in time.
The cars smash the debris and push it into the bike lanes, adding to my hazard.

It's vile to kill people with no actual legal justification and also vile to joke about killing those people.
Trump: "The problem is nobody wants to go fishing anymore. They don't want to get in boats. They don't want anything to do with boats. I think we've destroyed the boat market. Other than that it's been very effective."

Would you call it a quirk of mathematics or a failing of ergonomic engineering that the majority of machine control systems are designed for greater than the average number of human hands and feet?

You do not in fact have to praise the guy who said homeless people should be murdered with lethal injections and then apologized four days later to save his job. Let's get a grip here.
Brian Kilmeade deserves praise for his apology.
Brian Kilmeade apologized for his comments about homeless people getting lethal injections this morning on Fox & Friends, saying "so many homeless people deserve our empathy and compassion."

Here's the clip of his apology 👇

Am I getting old?
Am I losing my sense of whimsy?

I'm having lunch at my desk and realizing I no longer peel down strips of my string cheese or read the imprint on the inside of the lid to my yogurt.
But I still take the time to watch silly dog videos, so I'm not entirely burnt out.

RFK Jr. rolled out that old chestnut again about how healthy Americans were in the 60’s, so here’s a fact check.

In 1965:

-42% of American adults smoked; it’s 11% now.

-The infant morality rate was 24.7/1000; it’s 5.6/1000 now.

-Overall life expectancy was 70 years; it's about 77 years now.

So firearms are the greatest cause of death of children in the US. But if we stop vaccinating them, then maybe disease will come to the forefront and people will stop talking about gun control.

Is this the Republican logic?
