Between banning books, non-white people, genders, immigrants, comedians, journalism…
And then pushing AI which just regurgitates new ideas…
America is headed into a deep cultural recession. This place is bleak and getting increasingly boring.

Food insecurity is ALWAYS a political choice. Famine is ALWAYS manmade. People go hungry because of other people’s decisions. We have more than enough food for everyone, and enormous amounts of it are wasted—literally thrown in the garbage—on purpose.

The whole point of democracy is so one person's derangement does not become everybody's problem. It's social hygiene. The fact the richest men in the West are a mix of grotty twelve year olds and deranged apocalypse fanatics is a problem, and we should be honest about it.

Sketching Maleficent, with my wife Vanessa Vaughn as the model. I’ve always loved the design of this character.

Mary Shelley doesn't get enough credit for not only anticipating the silver-spooned narcissist techbro who recklessly creates technology without thinking through the consequences, but also for knowing that said techbro would be an absolutely terrible father.

I’m really gonna ask you please not to turn your nose up at the WSJ story and sneer that it’s a distraction.
These men harmed real people. They used their power and money to trap and abuse them.
That’s not a distraction, actually. That’s central to what matters.

Every American should read this ACLU lawsuit about what is happening in Los Angeles and California. It is the stuff of dystopian nightmares. This is not immigration enforcement. It is positively stuffed with videos and articles documenting racial profiling on a scale unseen since Jim Crow.

Whether or not you think he will deliver on his proposals, I think it's more than a little embarrassing that we've turned being able to afford the rent on a shitty one bedroom apartment & sending new moms a single box of diapers into radical ideas- it's not fully automated luxury gay space communism

Credit needs to be given to Resort Enhancement Artist Brett Snodgrass @bsnod.bsky.social for this incredibly masterful portrait of “Madame Leota” herself, legendary Imagineer Leota Toombs. I know Brett worked closely with Kim Irvine to ensure this ended up as special as it did.
