It strikes me the individual American military personnel are in an impossible position. If they assume his (or his proxy’s) orders are legal and comply, a change in regime could expose them to charges and punishment. But if they presume illegality and refuse orders, they will be punished immediately

It is an awfully sad fact that one of the major reasons America is in the predicament that it is (being gradually converted into a dictatorship) is the collusion of much of the legal community in allowing the buffoon to get away unpunished for his crimes. And it continues unabated.
It'll be pretty easy to explain: "there was a bipartisan consensus that consequences are for the fucking peasants, not for real people who matter"

I’d seriously question the premise of this post. Of course I can disagree with any of the examples quoted. The colour of the sky changes frequently depending on cloud cover, a “timestamped” event can be manipulated via AI. There are no “absolute truths” except in one’s own mind.
One of my favorite social media redundancies is when people respond to a list of facts with, “I disagree!”

Journalists are supposed to be experts in the use of words. But they call what is happening in Gaza, a “ceasefire” when this blatantly not. They call the absurd missive dictated by Russia, a “Peace Plan” when it is blatantly obvious it is not. Why do journalists conspire to mislead?

“ Tried to down” doesn’t sound real promising if the drones are serious.
Dutch air force personnel have tried to down several drones that were spotted over Volkel air base in the south of the country last night. The ministry of Defence said unspecified weapons were used and the drones disappeared. Some 20 U.S. B61 nuclear free-fall bombs are stored at Volkel air base.

As a non-American I have to admit to being puzzled by America’s book bans, “nearly six thousand books were temporarily or permanently banned across forty one US states between July 2021 and June 2023, mostly because of content related to sexuality or racism”.Man Up” by Miller-Idriss. But ban guns???

The reason people are hungry, homeless or denied medical care is policy. Governments create these conditions and maintain them.

Old ages are a trial. After washing my hands at a public toilet, I decided to use the hot air blower. So, hands underneath as usual and nothing happened. I used the average man’s tool kit and gave it a hit . No luck. Another two minutes and realised it was the paper towel dispenser.

If you ever want to know what hypocrisy is, just look to how veterans are treated. They are given highly visible praise by politicians and the public while serving but, once that service stops, suddenly they become non-persons. Homelessness, poor mental health support are symptomatic of the problem.

My youngest grandson (15) got a “best in school” certificate for computational mathematics at assembly yesterday.
