But also, an increase in market cap does not put money directly in Broadcom’s pocket. If they have treasury stock from buybacks they could sell them back to the open market, but depending on volume that will have price impacts. So Matt’s right, but getting the liquidity takes a couple more steps.

Not that they won’t try, but a complicating wrinkle for Bari is that at least on television, CBS News has very few hours of programming to even propagandize from compared to any of their cable-based competitors.

I think Ellison overestimated the reach of what he was buying for both FP and CBS.

Take a look at the 5 year chart for Peloton if you want a preview of how this would probably go. There’s no way they could meet the growth demands of the public markets. At best they max out their target demo and then achieve an equilibrium of net retention.

the actual story here, which the media never talks about, is that police in this country have become a discrete right-wing political operation. the story isn't about cops leaving (they're lying about that), it's about the police trying to exert influence over elections.
