There was a revelation about our 5yo son today.

"I don’t think Nic actually likes hot dogs. He likes the idea of hot dogs."

Almost threw up in my mouth at this.
THE BELL JAR

HARD ❌

It was a queer, sultry summer, the summer they electrocuted the Rosenbergs, and I didn't know what I was doing in New York

We don't need Blue-anon shit. We need clear-eyed comprehension. Yes, absolutely celebrate the victories so far (including yesterday!) But also remember that the work continues and yesterday means little without continuing momentum. And I worry this account is basically saying "we hit 3.5%! We win!"

3.5% is not a magic number where we have won a game.

What makes MCP appealing is the adoption of existing technologies, including JSON-RPC, to close a feature gap, mainly the need to fetch external data and call other tools.

The ability to build extensions and integrations using existing technologies is the big win in my opinion.

Let’s say I wanted to run a code assistive LLM locally on my MacBook Pro.

What are the options out there? Who has recommendations?

Piers Morgan is a POS but man is this interview wild - based on the way her tone changes I don't think she realized the implications of what she said until after she said it.

If you look closely you can see her realize she is absolutely cooked in real time.

NEW: AWS Lambda will now begin billing for the INIT phase for all runtimes (not just custom/container runtimes). Your cold starts cost money now!

My hottest take is that AWS should have done this years ago.
