Some bright work is polished stainless, things like window surrounds.

Otherwise it isn’t as “bright” as actual plating, is a little less corrosion resistant, and can be more expensive.

Most it isn’t as flexible in the types of shapes you can make with stamping vs chromed plastic injection.
