ok so i've been playing more & more "puzzlebox" games recently and i'm slowly whittling down my thoughts on Puzzles, what i like & what i don't like...
"spatial" and "rules" puzzles are my favorites, i think "riddles" are pretty fun but can be frustrating, and i think "room puzzles" are just okay

i wish modern fighting games were less explicitly designed... my experience with strive/sf6/gbvsr is there's one way they want you to play each character that's enforced by a small, specific toolkit. playing MBAACC or +R feels like ordering from one of those chinese restaurants with a massive menu

a fun movement spice i like to sprinkle on my platformers is to make the velocity cap on the x axis slightly higher in the air... it incentivizes jumping all the time, which adds a fun challenge of traversing the landscape optimally by subdividing it into the fewest number of jumps
