Out of mine too. I could swing the $600 IF I returned my Steam Deck but the X would take selling or trading some other stuff. If I were more confident in Xbox I'd probably try to bite but I'll wait for impressions or future developments

Tried to play Yotei again and it is just so intensely boring. So many of these dull flashback scenes that try to develop the world but just end up pointless. There's a whole flashback where you're looking for horses as a kid that just ends up telling you what button to push to whistle

Right but that flexibility you mention in a lot of stuff being optional is key. I think by that metric you could call any list of objectives "chores" if you don't find it engaging. I found everything in Zelda actually engaging; I didn't do anything I didn't want to do.

Man I agree completely. If they can nail the multiplayer I'm like, you know, alright sure that's where I'll spend most of the time, but Halo *could* have been the Star Wars of videogames. It has the lore, settings, art, musical themes, villains, etc. I just don't think they capitalized on it.

Drew Struzan was a very important person in my life, even though I didn't know him. His posters would get me more excited than trailers a lot of the time and I had many of them framed on my wall growing up. I really wish he could've did the sequel trilogy posters.

2027 Xbox launch is *probably* enough time to get Halo out, assuming it launches in November, but with the apparent problems they're having at Halo Studio I'm not counting on it

I miss the old days of HALO so much lately, y'all.

It's hard to convey just how special that time between HALO 1, 2, 3, ODST, and Reach was.

I miss couch co-op, Forge craziness, laughing together, playing slayer with friends... but it's all bittersweet now.
