Internet Explorer 🧭 Maker of linkitylink.lol
I did a little weekend project with Claude Code called Linkity Link - linkitylink.lol. I love the plain text web and especially sites like clone.fyi and brutalist.report. I've always wanted to create an easy, semi-automated way to publish links I'm already collecting on the public web.

Thanks, I’ll stick with my golden-age technology.
This is the most depressing (and accurate) quote from today's CES pitches:

"As the iPhone enters its golden years, there is a scramble to find the next technology that will define how consumers interact with brands."

FWIW Jobs wasn't building a way for consumers to interact with brands.

Agree! Your post on running your link blog was especially great. Impossible to quantify how much I have learned from just reading your posts over the years. Thank you for putting so much effort into it all.
I wish people would post more links to interesting things

I feel like Twitter and LinkedIn and Instagram and TikTok have pushed a lot of people out of the habit of doing that, by penalizing shared links in the various "algorithms"

Bluesky doesn't have that misfeature, thankfully!

Here are my music selections from 2024. As usual, it is intended to be enjoyed in its sequenced order at least once. Hope you find something to love that you haven’t heard before. Spotify and Apple Music links below.

I continue to root for The Browser Company. They seem to be one of the only companies that are really swinging for the fences when it comes to thinking about the evolution of the web browser. Dia looks cool.

The number of people that don’t realize their Venmo transactions are public keeps blowing my mind year after year.

It’s a powerful but tough read if you have half a heart, but Patrick Fealey’s first-hand account of homelessness is essential reading.

If you have yet to experience Gary Hustwit's Eno documentary, I cannot recommend it more highly. The screening you see will never be seen again by anyone else. GO! You will not regret it.

I was messing with Midjourney today and made some spaceship mobile wallpapers. Hope you like them, but maybe don’t say anything if you don’t. Prompt in the alt text.
