inject this shit directly into my veins

star wars is a ridiculous universe with space wizards and laser swords and apparently all I ever wanted was someone to take it completely seriously as a "how does this work in practice" study of fascism the way Andor does
Disney wrote Andor season 2 like, specifically for me!

I think Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem is probably a tough sell for Holy Father 2025, but agree that Pope Pizzaballa would cause the Internet to spontaneously combust, taking down the grid worldwide in a spasm of joy
Can we please all just get behind this man? It would heal our world.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.

TRICKLE-DOWN ECONOMICS DO NOT WORK.

It's absolutely shameful that Republicans keep trying to jam this steaming pile of shit down our throats to pad the pockets of their billionaire donors.

This is what fascism looks like, folks
Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.

They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

greatest thing to do for elected Democrats is nuke Axios, Semafor, and Politico
yeah i feel like a part of the problem is that elected Dems have Axios/Semafor/Politico brain and think that the base genuinely wants them to move to the center while the actual base wants blood
a feedback loop going on in dc right now where liberal polls show voters dislike the party approach, reporters cover that disdain as being the progressive wing’s fault, and then lawmakers and staff follow that instruction because they’re relying on those refracted signals

I've been thinking a lot about that bumper sticker which says "everything looks like a conspiracy theory when you don't understand how anything works" and folks it's pretty obvious to me that the people in power right now have absolutely no desire to understand how anything works.

Not vaccinating your child against preventable, potentially deadly diseases is child abuse.

Period.

There should be liability for such neglectful parents. This is sick.

A child who was not vaccinated has died from measles in West Texas. It's the first death in an outbreak that began late last month and the first from measles in the U.S. since 2015.

A defining policy battle is about to come to a head in this country. The Republican budget will force everyone - especially Congress and the White House - to make plain whether they are prepared to harm the rest of us in order to fund tax cuts for the wealthiest.

The right screams censorship when its ideas are rejected.

But some ideas should be rejected. They aren’t sound and they’re inhumane. That’s what happens when you serve capital above all else. Your ideas suck and people reject them.

Academic freedom isn’t the issue. Academic integrity is.
