My wife and I are starting the Warrior Walk as part of the Daisy Network's effort to raise awareness about Primary/Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI). As part of the Warrior Walk we will be doing at least 10,000 steps a day to hit 300,000 by 09/30.

My wife went down a Scatman Crothers rabbit hole and saw what was purportedly a picture of his daughter and she was white, like not even racially ambiguous or clearly biracial but full on 8.5x11 white.

Turns out it wasn’t her, but we did learn he was married to a white woman in 1937 (which WILD)

Nowadays, blockbuster movie budgets have 30-50% for VFX, which can be $100mil+

The Thing spent $1.5mil of a $15mil just for the creature effects and it is more realistic and terrifying than what is in VFX nowadays, and it’s all practical, not digital

I posted this earlier in the month but Shelley Duvall had been in nothing but Robert Altman movies and Annie Hall, 3 Women being the only real comparatively scary movie. What a casting choice for her to play Wendy and she is phenomenal in it.
