Emergency care (I drive ambulances and assist paramedics) and design-y, communication-y things.

Very slow trail and coast path runner. And an enjoyer of music, TV, movies, and culture.

All in lush North Cornwall.

February is #HeartMonth ❤️

Knowing CPR and how to use a defibrillator can help save a life, and having the confidence to act quickly during a cardiac arrest can make all the difference.

Watching these awesome music videos is a great way to procrastinate away an afternoon.

And, if you're lucky like me, you get to skip through multiple YouTube ads for a Tai Chi programme for 50 year old men...
MTV is officially ending all of its music channels.

In honor of that, what's your favorite music video?

Yeah that's interesting. I've long found a thing with getting less helpful feedback if the level of fidelity is too high. That's where I've often found things like Marvel clickable stuff from paper on a phone or Balsamiq helpful (I have no idea if either of those things still exists)

Tony: a very quick question for you (quick as in I'm interested in a quick reaction rather than a massively thought through answer): do you think that has AI completely changed the prototyping landscape?

😮 Someone is still using the book! I appreciate it, Tony.

I’m not in my 50s yet, John. The rest is bang on, mind.

...And I don't believe much is being done to address it by public service. Maybe one day, I'll try to contribute to efforts to help.

Anyway, that's all by the by. I really hope you can work your loneliness out. Sending hugs.

Nearly 2 years on the road in ambulances and I've reached the (personal, zero research done) opinion that loneliness is a massive issue that plays a significant role in a significant number of health calls (emergency and otherwise)...

I was really saddened to read this.

Karyo was so so good in The Missing and Baptiste. I reckon I'll end up rewatching those as well as Nikita now.

Asking for a friend - amazing social CIC doing good things in nature.

Looking for a South West (ideal) based fractional CTO who can also get their hands a bit dirty, and help a volunteer model of developing their platform

They have a backend dev, and hiring a front end.

Any ideas/connections?

I would love an option to switch off the “Video available” that’s in all the track names displayed

This is how I discovered that Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are doing Waiting for Godot 😲
so something absolutely wild happened here in April: we were visited by Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter.

(short thread)
We hold the world's largest Samuel Beckett Collection, and frequently welcome researchers, actors and dramatists.

In April, this included the cast of the upcoming Jamie Lloyd Co production of Waiting for Godot – including actors Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter!

A great thread right here 👇
an interesting subtopic! which shows/movies are beloved by the profession for Getting It Right! Lawyers famously love MY COUSIN VINNIE, doctors I believe love SCRUBS, apparently Aussie barristers are surprisingly fond of RAKE's depiction of some aspects of the law.
Oh god I remember watching HOUSE with some doctors, it was a the usual mix of “you would get fired instantly and never practice medicine again no matter how good u are” and “that case actually isn’t hard to solve at all”

It doesn’t matter whether the confession is urinating in the shower, or getting out of the shower to urinate: someone will reply with an unsolicited plumbing lesson.
If I am in the shower and I feel a sudden urge to pee, I will go out the shower and pee in the toilet. I used to think this was pretty normal, but after reading fesshole I am wondering if I am ridiculously uptight.
