Traced it, added in segmentation lines around the curved forms and realized how I kept doing it wrong. Now I can even visualize it in 3D.
You can learn a LOT about drawing like your favorite artist by tracing their work - not for posting, but to reverse-engineer their process.
Sketch the structures and body-shapes they use. Try inking over their inking to feel how to create those lines.
Get used to it, then try it on your own.
