When you grow up with almost every institution of your life that you’re meant to trust tells you something is bad, the majority of people are going to take it at face value. A lot was the fear of the unknown - if our tiny population could fund/do everything we want without the UK’s money
Even John Oliver who the left love to boast is on the right side of history did a Last Week Tonight on the Indy Ref and argued that we should stay in the UK and it played on our national TV before the vote.

Our national media is pro-UK, Westminster is pro-UK, the national political parties are pro-UK, the Supreme Court is pro-UK, the Monarchy is pro-UK, the military is pro-UK, the banks are pro-UK

Pro-Indy voices are pushed down, a lot
Honestly, yes. There’s a guy two doors down from me who is military and he purposely flies a 🇬🇧 out his house everyday rather than a 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.

Despite what people might think there’s a lot of people who are proudly monarchists. And the UK benefits keeping Scotland in so we see institutional oppression
The app has it in accessibility settings. I assume the website will be similar
I mean, an extreme case it would be possible to spark civil war. As by law the Monarchy can recall the Government and the Government can utilise the army against traitors of the crown (Scottish government)

But we’re frankly not going to do that as the army is UK not per region, so we have no army
They’re nations within the internationally UN recognised country of the United Kingdom. Honestly, it’s a fucking mess but it’s the result of over a thousand years of war and monarchy

Same as how Ireland and Nothern Ireland are different countries but only one is British
It’s tiny country syndrome. There’s legit economic and legal arguments that we’re better with the UK financially but politically, Scotland is centre-left and England is right wing, so there’s culture clash that’s gotten wider

The US meddles a lot in Scottish politics. Russia was disinfo warfare
We’re a country of 5mil+ who’s biggest trading partner is England then the EU. The UK is one of the permanent security council of the EU and UN. Leaving would lose a lot of international power for Scotland and we’d have to adopt a new currency, legal system and trade system if we left the UK
As of now, it’s a rumour about Fortnite so it’s best to try and ignore it until an announcement is made
England, Russia, the US all separately worked on propaganda campaigns to scare Scottish voters into voting no as at the time, ironically, it meant we’d need to reapply to the EU. Then 2 years later, England dragged us out of the EU anyway.
This caused the Indy Ref of 2014 as the Scottish National Party dominated Scottish elections for a decade, using that as a mandate to vote for freedom from the UK

They lost. 55-45% voted No, so we stayed in the UK.
However, England has the highest population so what England votes for tends to be how things play out. Unfortunately, Scotland/England have different national interests but England has the power due to population and how the system was agreed upon, that London was final say…
The United Kingdom is an agreement that England, Scotland, Wales, N. Ireland collectively form a UK Government in Westminster, this is the highest level

Wales/Scotland/NI have Governments thanks to devolution which is basically “regional/local” issues are handled independently…
The law, really. Scots law is lower than UK law in priority. Scotland defying that would cause a constitutional crisis when the independence vote floats around 50/50%.

Westminster can sue and the Monarchy can push to abolish the Scots government if the violate the devolution agreement
I’m not thrilled about my most active post on BlueSky being about Harry Potter/JKR. Hopefully we can beat it one day with something not terrible.

Fair. I haven’t done that.
I’d say just keep an eye on it. The leakers always find this stuff eventually if it’s real. Lines of code doesn’t always mean it will go ahead. They found Yakuza references last year and there’s still no sign of it.

But as of now, there is HP references in the game’s code.
Thank you. I posted it in the spur of the moment and failed to alt-text. That’s my failing.
Personally, I feel that you can play the game and not buying specific collabs sends a message in itself. Low sales in turn means less repeats as they track that data.

Still, it’s justifiable to just nope out entirely

Allegedly, leakers are finding HP traces in the game’s code much like how every other collab leaks months in advance.
