Old lady, Democrat, American, antifascist, Christian (Episcopal). Anyone admitting to being a Republican isn't, these days, fit to win any office. But Christians need to pray for their enemies, so we should pray for Trumpsters to repent & reform.

Haven't seen my brother in years. I miss him, & we may now be too old to take the long trip.

He's an American citizen who is reasonably concerned that if he comes here to see his family, he'll be kidnapped on the street.

We're at war, all right. The enemy is in the White House. The world watches.

MINNEAPOLIS: “All I did was step outside as a Somali American citizen, and I got chased by a masked person, assaulted, kidnapped. It was inhumane. If this is what’s happening to a 🇺🇸 citizen on camera, imagine what could happen to your loved ones.”

The USA has been fundamentally wrong for a long time. We praise millionaires who don't pay a living wage to their employees, and criticize those same employees who work two jobs to make ends meet as "lazy," bc they still need SNAP to get by?! We see healthcare as a "privilege," not a right. We suck!

There must be something fundamentally wrong with a country that allows someone to become this obscenely rich while condemning countless others to poverty and starvation

At the risk of sounding more combative than I mean to, I think the point is that these attacks are mass murder, no matter the cargo they're bearing or where it's bound.

I dunno, but to me, that seems a bit over the top

When the U.S. commits war crimes, acts of war, and meddles in the internal affairs of other countries, it jeopardizes our national security because it invites retaliation and sets precedence for others to follow suit.

Hegseth said that warriors in the US army would be unfit for polite society. Looks like he's intent on making them just that by getting rid of all of the ones who ARE fit for polite society. He wants men who will murder on command. #unfitforpolitesociety #murderoncommand

Even if there were drugs on those boats — which nobody has proven — the penalty isn’t death. You don’t get executed at sea for suspicion.

As a veteran who served in intelligence, I want to introduce you to EXORDS: the execute order from the President to SecDef. This allows 60 days operations under the War Powers Act. The President must advise Congress and gain approval to continue.
No EXORD was sent to Congress. This is illegal

A structural shift: the transition is increasingly independent from temporary political will. Falling costs, long-term investment cycles & state-level momentum are driving growth.

I’ve never been a “defund the police” type of guy. I believe that police are necessary, despite their flaws.

But ICE is different. I am 100% behind ending their existence and prosecuting every single one of them.

ICE must go. End of discussion.

Demolishing the East Wing of the White House before finalizing plans for what will be built above its ruins is a near-perfect metaphor for Trump's approach to economic policy. The only difference is the wrecking crew doesn’t claim the rubble is evidence of unprecedented growth.

We should not allow anyone from Queens to hold the office of the Presidency…
Effective immediately.

The problem with ICE is not that it's targeting people who aren't criminals. The problem with ICE is that it's an unaccountable secret deportation police. It cannot be reformed under a better president. It can be made less terrible, but the instrument of repression remains for the next tyrant.
